With poor broadband from BT on the majority of our estate, we decided to make a better broadband service delivering Ultrafast speeds at a great price with no need for a BT landline. Built by the community for the community.

We’re backed up by an award winning Internet Service Provider called Talk Straight based in Ilkley that is owned by one of the residents. Once all of the capital costs have been paid for by the broadband subscription costs then the network will be gifted back to the residents so we can vastly reduce the ongoing rental costs of the service for the better of everyone on our estate.

HOW WE DO IT

We’ve installed some high capacity Internet links into the estate. To distribute the Internet to all of the houses we bounce the signal using new 60Ghz wireless mesh technology.

This blankets the estate in Ultrafast wi-fi. Each house then has a small receiver installed onto the same pole as their TV aerial to receive the broadband.
A small wi-fi router is then installed in your house and you’ll then be able to receive Ultrafast speeds.

To distribute the Internet to the apartments we’ve installed a wireless node onto each of them and we then distribute this to each apartment by using your existing TV cabling and we install a small router which splits the signal so you can still watch normal TV and also receive Ultrafast Internet.
